The "Snow Racing" course is dedicated to enthusiasts who have already participated in a snow driving course and want to further improve their skills, also testing themselves against the clock.
The course lasts 2 days, to allow students to learn and practice the most refined driving techniques.
You also learn to do the "pendulum", before a hairpin bend, with front-wheel drive cars and to corner with "drifts" that are beautiful to see, but also useful for the stopwatch, rather than just indulging in aesthetics.
The theoretical part is based on the explanation of optimal trajectories, with the aim of covering the icy track in the shortest possible time, combining speed with excellent car control.
EXERCISES AND TRACK LAPS
During the first day, all the most dynamic exercises of the Snow Course and many track laps are performed to train for the race on the second day.
Each student drives both a front-wheel drive and a rear-wheel drive car, and learns the most appropriate techniques for each type of car.
TIMED TESTS AND PLAY-OFFS
In the first part of the day, timed track laps are done to "compile" the Play-Off table, with direct clashes. There is always an Instructor on board each car, who gives the student the best advice and keeps everything within the tracks of maximum safety.
The formula is the same as that of tennis tournaments.
Each student drives for 2 sessions of 3 timed laps each (+ the launch lap and the return lap).
One session with front-wheel drive and the second with rear-wheel drive.
The sum of the times of the 6 laps will determine the Play-Off grid.
In the second part of the day, the direct elimination rounds begin.
Each student will drive for their first "chrono" session and when everyone has finished their test, the second session will begin, driving the car with opposite traction to the first one.
The pairs of "challengers" will use the same 2 cars, to have the fairest comparison possible.
And so on, challenge after challenge, up to the final one, to determine the Winner and the podium.
In addition to the races for 1st and 2nd place, the "consolation finals" also take place for the acquisition of all positions in the general classification.
Adrenaline flows freely and all participants, in the end, will be very tired, but very satisfied.
