Is a hybrid or electric car better?
It certainly is a big dilemma, and this online course gives you a lot of information (even some you might not want to hear...) about the two types of engines, helping you choose the one that best meets your desires and habitual driving scenarios.
If you have an ecological spirit, however, to make the most of the characteristics of these two innovative engines, it is better to refine our Eco driving techniques a little more.
Here, then, in the first part of the course, we go into the (important) details that some lessons of the Eco-sustainable driving course had only mentioned.
We transform into skiers, sailors, and we cast a - very interested - eye on those clever seagulls.
We learn a lot of "little tricks" - which sometimes seem like Columbus's egg, but which, in addition to making us true driving connoisseurs, let us enter a world of "coasting".
In the second part, we study the characteristics of Hybrid cars (Mild, Full, and Plug-in) and electric ones.
We analyze the advantages and disadvantages and, above all, how to use all their qualities.
The characteristics of electric cars are also studied in detail and you learn to exploit them in the best possible way.
Are hybrid cars perfect? And electric ones? Maybe not, but they are certainly a big step forward compared to those with thermal engines (ICE).
However, they do have some flaws, flaws that - obviously - advertisements keep quiet about.
Especially in the case of Electric cars, for which we have created two versions of the online course: the "Mild" and the "Full".
If your Company has a "green" spirit and wants to "push" the use of electric cars, the Mild version is perfect.
If, on the other hand, you are an individual and want to discover everything, absolutely everything, about electric cars and their potential problems, then the Full version is the right course for you.
The Hybrid and Electric Cars course (like the other 3) contains 14 video lessons - of about 5 minutes each - with multiple choice questions and answers (which are challenging and not obvious).
There is also an introductory video and another final one. The duration of use is about 2 hours.
Each course can be divided into two parts (Step 1 and Step 2) of 7 lessons each.
Below you will find a list of lessons with a brief explanation of each topic covered.
1. THE ELASTIC
How to optimize performance with fluid and profitable driving, with the help of instrumentation and technology to keep consumption under control.
2. LIKE SKIING
How to make our driving more ecological by correctly managing acceleration, slowing down, but above all by always practicing "round driving".
3. WARMING UP THE DIESEL
Hints on the history of diesel-powered vehicles and why modern engines, being more efficient, do not need to be warmed up before starting.
4. CLOSE THE WINDOW
Concepts of aerodynamics, with reference to the structure/bodywork/shape and weight of the car and how our behaviors affect performance and consumption.
5. THE CLIMATE CHANGES
How to use our car's air conditioning system appropriately and conveniently, both to respect the environment and to safeguard our health.
6. ACCESSORIES
How much numerous accessories affect fuel consumption: air conditioning, radio, cigarette lighter/smartphone charger, internal lights, headlights, rear window defroster...
7. IF ONLY IT WERE JUST CO2
Analysis of harmful emissions from thermal engine car exhausts, which contribute to polluting the air we breathe. Hints on electric and hydrogen cars.
8. THE BEST ENGINE
Which is the best engine to safeguard the environment.
Technical comparison between the internal combustion engine and the electric motor.

Analysis of the different existing types (Mild Hybrid, Full Hybrid, and Plug-in Hybrid)
10. THE HYBRID CAR, let's make the most of its potential
Explanation of the best techniques for optimal driving of the hybrid car.
11. BEYOND HYBRID, the transition to the electric motor
Comparison between consumption and energy use/recovery among the various types of cars.
12. THE ELECTRIC CAR
How it is made and what are its advantages.
13. ELECTRIC, HOW TO DRIVE IT
Explanation of the best techniques for optimal driving of the electric car.
14. SOS PLANET EARTH, will the future be zero emissions?
The delicate balance between mobility needs and the environment.
