Certainly, here in Italy we are all National Coaches, F1 Drivers and even Casanova …
How many times, at the bar with friends, we trembled for a smart overtake or criticized a “minor” error in F1?
We have always heard of G-force, of blistering acceleration and of endless braking. Direct steering and a track which narrows at high speed.
We have always dreamt of a breathtaking “skid”, or being as brilliant as Michael Schumacher.
In order to take out the driver in you, at our Driving Camp you can drive the Ariel Atom straight from England, the original “single-seater”, as they say across the Channel.
The Atoms are an unique vehicle, with the characteristics of a single-seater; with a weight-power potential ability of a supercar and the agility of a Formula 1.
You can finally leave the seat knowing you have experienced the priceless exhilaration which a driver feels during the races…
It would be fantastic to experience this exciting sensation knowing that you know exactly what to do.
How to cope with the acceleration and braking, how to drive the curves and being able to choose the optimal trajectories.
At this stage Driving Camp comes to mind, this is exactly why we choose the ATOM. We mentioned that it has exceptional characteristics and is basically a “single-seater”, however only with a small particular detail: there’s also a seat for the instructor!
Well, I’d say we are ready for take-off. We only have one doubt: will we ever find a reckless driver to hop on by our side?
Of course, the Atom is a perfect colt which gives us a lot of satisfaction. However, as all pure breeds in order to drive with pleasure and not be afraid of its reaction, you need to know how to maneuver …
It’s obvious that before you can take advantage of the track you need to be fully aware , with a gradual training.
Therefore, here are a few basic exercises required: firstly … you learn how to literally climb in and out. Then you learn the seat position, you try to keep the position and learn the way the pedals and gear stick function.
You learn how to focus on the main technical parts, how to seek advice rapidly, when on the track.
At this stage you begin to drive straightly. Hey it will be a breeze! Wait until you try it …
First, second and third. You will be then familiar with the accelerator – very sensitive – and with the brake pedal.
You learn how to use the gears going down using the heel-toe technique.
Now is the moment to get to know the steering wheel, very direct: you perform a large slalom, without traffic cones, in first and second gear. Even at a low speed the shivers begin.
As you slowly get used to the steering wheel and the maneuvering becomes more precise. However, for who isn’t used to it, the “single seater” can be annoying: the back wheels are a lot larger than its body. Therefore, one must get used to performing a tighter slalom, via the traffic cones. It’s obvious that the goal is to drive close by them, without creating a disaster!
Ok we are ready for your turn on the track. Tighten your seat belts; the helmet is connected to the radio of your instructor (so you have found a crazy guy who’ll sit by your side … ). The lap counter increases and the led lights on the steering wheel intensify the adrenalin …
Let’s go!
All this happens during the track courses stated on the calendar. Call us for information.
